The Heiress Quilt was designed to evoke some of the geometry and charming patterns present in many traditional handcrafts. In one moment, the shapes seem to take on the form of a woven kilim but at the same time it shares the features of a bold needlework - but of course it's a quilt! The clever arrangement of blocks allows the quilter to repeat very simple color combinations and then flip the orientation for a pleasing, and deceivingly simple layout.
